The Castle Creek ride leaves in the morning from the Red Cliffs Ranch corrals. The adventure begins with a 30 minute orientation outlining safety, horsemanship and a little history about ranching and Quarter Horses. After carefully matching riders to horses and adjusting the tack we spend some time in the arena getting comfortable and learning some basic riding techniques. The trail winds up the Castle Creek Canyon crossing the stream several times. Dramatic 2000 foot cliffs tower above the trail and riders get a sense of natural power and beauty. Along the way we might see deer, coyotes,

rabbits or other smaller animals. At the halfway mark we ride out of a small canyon and stop for breathtaking view of Castle Valley and the world famous Castle Rock. The trail winds around huge boulders, up and down small canyons and along the cool water of Castle Creek. Since we're riding through the same country John Wayne did 30 years ago while making his famous western movies., we'll pause for some picture taking. Once back at the corral riders are welcome to help the wranglers unsaddle and groom the horses. There will be plenty of time for more pictures and chances to visit with the cowboys about life on the ranch and history of the west. The adventure takes about 3 1/2 hours.
